A minor marvel of design, the RCR Helmet is a lightweight cycling helmet with Mips® protection and optimal ventilation. Carefully placed vents offer variable performance, so when you’re pushing hard in the drops or descending a mountain the primary function is keeping you streamlined. And when the road heads upwards again and you adopt a more upright position, the vents start to cool your head more. Throw in an impressive overall weight and comfortable fit adjustment, and you begin to see just how impressive this helmet is.
For the demanding athlete, whether male or female, who challenges themself against the clock, we present the XCR. Developed with expert input from specialist partners and extensive digital simulations, as well as wind tunnel testing, it is optimized for use with aerobars and features excellent ventilation to keep you cool in the heat of competition. The faster you go, the more the impacts of the wind are minimized. It’s time to tackle the race of truth head-on.
In order for a helmet to be approved by European standards, it has to complete and pass 6 random impact tests.
Here at VAN RYSEL, safety isn't something that can be left to change and we hold our products to the strictest standards, going above and beyond the European requirements. A helmet is only approved by our design team once it has successfully passed testing with 40 to 60 impacts. That's 10 times more than the European standard requirement.
The range also features a MIPS® version of the RCR and RCR-F models.
The MIPS® Air Node technology, which is the most lightweight, incorporates a low-friction layer that helps to reduce any rotational movement transmitted to the head in the event of certain oblique impacts.
