Aerodynamics is extremely important for gaining speed, of course, but also for reducing effort while maintaining performance.
We carried out CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) optimisation, for which ONERA is world leader, to design the most aerodynamic curves.
Using numerical fluid mechanics, several profiles were developed and then optimised with a single objective in mind: ultimate performance.
To obtain the best-performing machine, each part of the frame was positioned and tested in the wind tunnel and by laser tomoscopy.
The result of all these different configurations is fifteen shapes, fifteen versions that can be compared according to the law of areas.
So, by combining all these elements, we obtain a shape, a frame, an ultra high-performance machine, cut to split the air.
Weight optimisation is the second fundamental pillar of the RCR's performance and has therefore been the focus of all our attention.
During the design phase, the RCR lost weight not only on the frame but also on the ancillary parts by extracting material from targeted areas using topological analysis.
The search for lightness has been surgical in creating this racing machine. Every part has been designed to be as light as possible.
We wanted this bike to offer the best possible energy return. And we can safely say that it gives an incredible sense of propulsion.
To achieve this fantastic result, we headed to Japan to seek out the very best carbon fibres in the world.
We meticulously placed them in strategic locations to gain the additional stiffness that makes the RCR harness your every effort like no other bike before it.

As for the RCR PRO, it’s the most radical version. The frame is made from even more high-end carbon fibres to enable top athletes to push themselves and their machine to the max.

Our quest for performance also led to us redesigning the cockpit. It has been developed alongside Deda, the world-renowned Italian components brand.
The RCR is equipped with specially designed Deda parts, including a Superbox Evo stem that has been made lighter yet still retains the stiffness we required. The Superzero RS handlebar is unique to this stem and offers a highly refined grip.
The RCR’s custom cockpit guarantees incredibly precise handling at all times.
