“Since its creation in 2019, VAN RYSEL, “made in Flanders”, has aspired to become a major brand in the professional peloton. Our engineers and designers set ultra-high standards to achieve ultra-performance. We are teaming up with experts (ONERA, SWISS SIDE) and professional riders, to arrive at the starting line with products ready to win. We are very proud to see our bikes, helmets, and glasses chosen by the AG2R LA MONDIALE teams, including the long-established team of the UCI WorldTour. We are excited and eager to start the season.”
Nicolas Pierron, Director of VAN RYSEL
In 2024, VAN RYSEL joins as the bike, helmet, and sunglasses equipment manufacturer of the U19 Team, Development Team and World Tour Team :
DECATHLON AG2R LA MONDIALE
To meet world-class standards, our design teams have set themselves the goal of designing the fastest, most efficient products on the planet, and of making this cutting-edge technology available to our users.
The specifications for the RCR PRO and XCR bikes were clear: we wanted the best-performing bikes in the world in their categories: aerolight for the RCR PRO and time trial for the XCR.
To achieve this, we surgically optimised every technical aspect of these bikes and obtained the best ratio for each:
Aerodynamism
Stiffness
Lightweight
Today, we can say that we have reached our target thanks to the work of dozens of experts.
Engineers and designers have been working on these projects for 3 years, working with partners renowned for their know-how and research.
For the RCR, our design teams collaborated with ONERA: the French aerospace research laboratory. Located just a few hundred meters from the VAN RYSEL design offices, ONERA is well known for its work on the Rafale aircraft and helicopters. For the first time, they agreed to make their knowledge of aerodynamics available to our teams, which we applied to the road bike.
For the XCR, we asked SWISS SIDE, known for its experience in Formula 1 racing over the past 50 years, but also in the cycling industry for its research into aerodynamics and innovation. SWISS SIDE will also be equipping the VAN RYSEL bikes of the DECATHLON AG2R LA MONDIALE teams with its wheels.

3 new helmets have been developed for the DECATHLON AG2R LA MONDIALE teams.
Each is designed for a specific use, and has been shaped by the laws of the air to guarantee safety, aerodynamics and comfort.
The speed of the pelotons is constantly breaking records, and because road cycling is one of the only sports to be shared with motorists, our priority is safety. We have set even higher standards than the CE standard, guaranteeing cyclists maximum protection.
The CE standard requires 6 impact points to be tested throughout the helmet before it can be approved.
At VAN RYSEL, we validate our helmets after a conclusive test on 50 impact points.
Furthermore, even though the CE standard does not require a reducing rotational motion test, we are taking the subject very seriously by integrating the MIPS® solution.
The sunglasses have also benefited from the best technology and expertise on the market.
No compromises have been made in terms of style, comfort, weight, efficiency or aerodynamics.
ZEISS, NXT and TRANSITIONS, world-renowned for their top-quality lenses, have been selected for the PERF 900 and PERF 900 Light VAN RYSEL frames.
Optimised to the nearest tenth of a gram and perfected using CFD (computational fluid dynamics) digital simulation, the PERF 900 and PERF 900 Light are 6 grams lighter than their predecessors and more aerodynamic.
