This year, the DECATHLON AG2R LA MONDIALE team made its mark in Spain’s iconic stage race, one of the three biggest events in the world of cycling. They etched their names in the history books with remarkable performances, most notably through Ben O'Connor, who secured second place overall.
Ben O'Connor took victory on Stage 6, seizing the leader’s jersey with a commanding lead of 4 minutes and 51 seconds over his nearest rival.
Whether battling fierce headwinds, climbing the toughest mountains, or sprinting through the peloton, the entire team gave everything to shield and support Ben.
Ben O'Connor’s RCR PRO was adorned with the iconic leader’s colors of the Spanish roads for over 13 days. The signature blue fork was swapped for red, along with the ROADR 900 PERF sunglasses and the FCR and RCR helmets.
After wearing the leader’s red for over 13 days, Ben finished second overall following a stellar time trial through the streets of Madrid.
The team clinched 3rd place in the overall team classification, reflecting their consistency and collective spirit throughout the race.
